Playing now crash - pattern found!
« on: September 05, 2002, 09:01:06 pm »

After experimenting thoroughly with the crashing problem I was having with re-ordering songs in the playing now view, I have finally discovered a pattern. It appears that the crashes occur only when moving a file that has a large (I'm not sure how large it has to be) chunk of text existing in the id3v2 comment tag. All of my full albums have an AMG album review in the comment tag, so this causes MJ to crash every time I move one of those files around in playing now. Is there any way you guys could look into this? Or must I delete all of my reviews to have a crash-free MJ? Thanks!

Please copy this to the thread on the release of that build.  It has a much better chance of being fixed that way.

hoehater,

Thank you for the report. I can reproduce the bug. It should be fixed in the next build (later today).
