Where did the option "Ignore Tag information" go in 9.0.51?
« on: September 04, 2002, 11:17:14 am »

I am liking the new "test" of 9.0.51, but I can't seem to find the option to tell MJ not to look at my ID tags. I have a little over 25,000 MP3s and don't like to mess with tags, but do have a very organized file structure. My library is not looking clean when it looks at my ID tags.

I have used Muzicman in the past, but I believe I might make a switch.

Thanks.....

Try Tools/Plug-in Manager/Input Plugins/MP3/Configure.

Thanks, I found the option, but it looks like when I import my media, I am still getting info from tags.

In my "Media Library" I still have songs and albums showing up under(unassigned) and (Assorted).

Here is the structure of my MP3s:

d:\MP3s\Artist\Albums\songs
When I Import Media, I still end up with a mess.

Thanks for the help.

Check the Help on Properties options called "Fill properties from file name" and "Rename files from properties".

Experiment on a few before you do many.
