External CD rom drive speed control

I have an external Sony DRU-820A CD/DVD USB drive which I intend to use to play CD audio.
The problem: The thing always runs at full speed, which is undesireable in my listening room.
Anyone know of a fix or utility to limit the play speed to 1X while using Media Center 11?
