Is there a way of sending private message to support?

generally speaking, no.

Just ask your question here.

If it's relating to things of a personal nature, such as credit cards, liscence codes, restore codes, addresses, phone numbers etc. etc., then ask your qusetion/state your problem without disclosing any of that information.

If required, you will be given an email address to which to send more delicate details to.
The system works surprisingly well.

I currently am a registered user of MC10, how long before MC12 is released? I was going to upgrade to MC11, but if MC12 is due soon I will wait. If I go ahead and buy MC11 now, will I have to pay for version 12?

Thank you

I think when you buy a MC11 License now you actually get a MC12 License that works with both version.

Thanks, but at the risk of sounding like a smart a@#, and please I am not wanting it to sound that way at all, you said you "THINK", they give you both liscence codes. Is there any way to be sure before I spend the bucks?

Thank you

The King is Correct.  An MC11.1 license purchased today is actually an MC12 license.

Jim, could you perhaps clarify...
Is this dependant upon when the liscence is purchased, ie. today or later, regardless of which version of MC11.1 is used for the purchase, or is the 11.1 build used for the purchase kind of critical if a v12 compatible liscence is expected?

I seem to recall some confusion over this recently, and the impression I got was that the 11.1 build number was an issue in this regard.

i think it was from a 11.1.xxx and higher build number (not sure where mc 11.1 was made to work with a mc12 license), but it was in the history updates and fixes

I think Jim had a message about all this once but it has ex-caped like a rat in panic mode.

We no longer sell an MC11 license, so versions that used it won't allow a purchase.  You need to upgrade to a more recent build of MC11.

I also think the MC 11.1/MC 12 license thing is kind of vague as well.

If you bought an early version of 11.1 and just updated to the most recent 11.1 does that make your license work with 12?

or

Must you have "purchased" MC 11.1 (latest build) since a certain date, (Sep 1, Oct 1, or Nov 1, etc)?

I went looking, I found it

Quote
11.1.193 (8/14/2006)

1. Changed: Switching zones no longer ensures that Media Center is visible.
2. Changed: Media Center 11.1 will work with a Media Center 12 license.

So if you have build mc 11.1.193 or higher it works with a MC12 license
