BUG: DVD Player Report: DVDs working but only kinda
« on: January 03, 2007, 10:21:56 pm »

I can't seek video at all when playing a DVD from a VIDEO_TS folder that has been imported.

It seems like I have the ripped dvds working now!

1) I was always content using Video Lan's DVD decoder but MC apparently wasn't picking it up or VLC wasn't acting correctly because I could only hear audio in VLC.  After installing Cyberlink v6, everything works great in MC and it only imports the single file like it should instead of the entire folder of files.

2) It also looks like it does deinterlacing by default because I don't see any interlacing and it looks quite nice!

3) Now, all the DVDs show up as VIDEO_TS.  How do I rename these?  Do I just use Fill from Properties?  Is there a way to add this to the DVD folder so other computers accessing the same media will pick it up automatically?  Just the same, I would like a new MC instance (new library) to pick up the info if possible.  Any ideas?

4) How do I add cover art?  If I have South Park, what is the standard procedure?  Do you use the same cover art for all the DVDs or do people add a number to the picture?  What do you suggest?

I am having some trouble seeking and such.  I just started a DVD and when I right-click, Menu, nothing happens during previews.  Is this disabled?  I also can't seek to a section anywhere.  It might work once the actual content starts.  I wish they would just skip the previews all together.

Addition: I can't even seek regular video.  So, seeking in DVDs is broken for me.
