MC12 License Server Issues
« on: January 14, 2007, 01:47:48 pm »

Hey guys, I bought MC12 in October and everything worked fine.  I just had to reinstall windows on my HTPC and now the server is claiming it can't find my license.  To make things worse, in October I had the restore page send me a list of my licenses and the e-mail had my MC10, 11, and 12 licenses.  I just had the restore page do the same thing and the e-mail only has my MC10 and 11 licenses...

Not cool...

Check your old e-mail from buy-button@jriver.com and see if you can find an MC12 license.  I can't when I search for your domain name or your last name.

I have an old e-mail with my MC12 license, but the restore page is rejecting it. (Jim, I sent it in a PM to you).

I also have the PayPal receipt from the MC12 license purchase if that helps...

Hi Skeeterfood - something strange happened, probably at the time of the purchase. It should be fixed now.
Was this the first time you tried to restore? Can you remember anything strange that happened during the
purchase?

Sorry,

j

Thanks guys.  Worked fine now.  That's what I call customer service :)

I don't remember anything strange at the time of purchase.  I think I've restored the license at least once since I bought it, but I can't say for sure...

Thanks John - I found and fixed a problem. It only happened when events happened in a strange order with PayPal, and that didn't happen very often.

Thanks again,

j
