Vista Ultimate and MC12 - Power User Privileges
« on: February 10, 2007, 02:50:34 am »

Hi folks,

I have just installed Vista 32bit Ultimate (fresh install) and MC12

Whenever I start up MC12, I get this pop up

I knew how to switch to administrator in XP, but I'm a bit stuck with Vista. Can anybody guide me through what I need to do?

I have done a search and read the FAQ but can't seem to find an answer for Vista. Please help!

PS: I did try using the CD exe program but it complained of an error when trying to alter the registry

Install the latest version from the top of this board.

You may need to right-click the shortcut and pick "Run as Administrator" one time.

After that, MC works fine with UAC enabled under Vista.

Thank you Matt.

I had to set as always run as administrator to stop it from removing the CD burning. But as I'm the only person using this PC, that's no hardship :)
