How do I force the database to re-write all ID3 tags
« on: August 30, 2002, 02:22:36 am »

I have found where to refresh the library from the ID3 tags but I want to do the opposite.

Here's why.  I have made changes to the different fields in MJ with the assumption that it would update the ID3 info at the same time.  However, I have been finding that if I clear the library and re-import then some of the info has reverted to before I updated it.  I'm guessing that the ID3 tags were never updated and that I was just seeing the info in the database.

PS:  I cleared the library after I deleted all the internal cover art and wanted it to point to the folder.jpg files instead.

Thanks,

If you highlight all files, bring up properties, change the combo at the lower-right to read "Update all files", when you save it should update all fields that MJ keeps in MP3 tags.

Thanks.  I had used that option to update the .jpg's but never for all the other tag info.
