CD playback / ripping
« on: February 18, 2007, 01:08:44 pm »

Hi,

Hope you can help here.

I don't seem to be able to rip any audio CDs.  Whenever i try, i get a "Rip track failed.  Failed to extract digital audio.  Rip failed" error message.  This seems to happen regardless of whether i have the "Enable digital CD audio" option for my CD drive device manager properties.  I have tried changing the "use digital playback" option in media center, however whenever i try and play an audio CD with the "use digital playback" option enabled, i get an error saying "Media center encountered errors while trying to play the last several files.  Please make sure that the path in your media library points to the right location."

I don't seem to have the same issues with Windows Media Player.

The CD drive is shown as TSSTCorp CD/DVDW SH-S182M.  I am using Media Center version 11.1.201
