Possible issue with license restore
« on: February 25, 2007, 04:51:33 am »

I restored my license last night to register my new laptop.  I have seen where people get email with multiple increments of the counter.  I got duplicate emails, they both say 9 restores left.  Certainly not as big of an issue, but I guess you'd like to know.

I would say that's a feature, not a bug. Browsers like IE7 that prevent popups usually reload the page when you want to show the popup that had just been blocked. So I guess some kind of session management assures that a license is not generated again in such cases (and therefore does not decrease the restore count).

I fixed this recently. What happens is your browser blocks the pop-up (which is the license key). When you click on "allow pop-up", it resubmits the data to do a restore. My fix was to count all restores in a short period of time as one restore.

Glad it worked for you...
