Problem opening files/web links outside of mc

Media Center was working fine, but lately, anytime I open a file from outside of mc i get the Media Center has encountered a problem and must close window. The same happens when trying to play streaming music by clicking on a link in ie. Any ideas whats wrong?

Maybe an older version of MC 11 is installed?

I did have MC 11 installed but have since uninstalled both, then reinstalled MC12. It has worked since the reinstall.
