Corrupt tag "name" in mp3 files
« on: March 02, 2007, 02:55:47 pm »

Some songs in my collection have corrupt names. The last part of the name is typically gone: "Rock Is My Life, And This Is M".

I ripped all of my files with EAC which uses CDDB for lookup, but I have seen this "symptom" in other peoples mp3s.

I have used Media Center only (on my entire collection) since version 9.

Has anybody seen this?

it is prob because before id3v2 Tags There Was ID3v1.1 tags

Where Id3v1.1 Tags: Song Name, Album, And Artist Are Only 30 Chrs Long, And Comment Is Like 28 Chrs Long.

I'm not going to bother to count the number of characters in the example string...

Any remedy? I'm thinking sort of a yadb lookup where it replaces fields based on closest match?
