command line in MC 12?
« on: March 10, 2007, 02:07:11 pm »

Aloha,

I'm trying to associate some mouse buttons with the MC 12's play/pause, back, next functions, by associating the buttons with command line options. I'm using the command line options from here: http://www.jrmediacenter.com/DevZone/CommandLine.html

I'm using the "Media Center 12.exe" executable. It doesn't work though. Am I supposed to be using another executable? Can anyone tell me how to use the command line options for Media Center 12?

Cheers,

Shiraz

Thanks Jaguu,

The thing is though, there is no mc12.exe in my install dir! I just downloaded the latest release and reinstalled in case it was just missing for  a the release I had, but still nothing there. Just Media Center12.exe, which doesn't do the trick.

Thanks again.

It's in C:\WINDOWS\system32 not in the install directory, so you can call it without specifying a full path (system32 is in the default search path).  The documentation for all of the automation commands are available in the JRiver "Developer Zone", linked above in the forum and here: http://www.jrmediacenter.com/devzone.html
