Cool feature request: MC doesn't recognize interrupted synced files

Whenever a sync with my Windows Mobile 5 device is interrupted for any reason, such as a flaky activesync connection, MC thinks that all the files on the device should be deleted on the next sync, even though it just copied them over.  I imagine this has to do with the handheld song database.

Would there be a way to have MC keep track of which songs were transferred in an interrupted sync, so it can resume when the device is re-attached?
