Hi,
Can anyone tell me why library server is not sending all the thumbnails for album art to the clients? or is it that the clients are not displaying the info?
I'm runing MC V12.0.198 as server and clients on win xp pro.
Some of the art is in the form of folder.jpg files in the folders so MC will pick that automaticly on the server.
Some of the art is set with the Cover Art> Attach From File tool
Some of it is downloaded with the Cover Art> Get From Internet tool.
I find no rhym or reason why but even if I restart the server and the client I dont get many of the album art images shown on the client!! They are on the server but not the client..!

Any ideas?

Update to the latest. We made many changes to thumbnails recently.

They did a fantastic job, too.  Thumbnails now appear MUCH faster.  Instead of sending the original jpg, a compressed thumbnail is sent.  It also does a much better job of keeping thumbs in the cache and retrieving them, especially when using multiple computers with the same database.

Get the latest MC!

I still think an auto update feature would be useful...I'll start a thread on it right now.

Think I found the problem.
If I delete the thumbnail folders named something like "{4FB9A504-17F2-4410-8D69-416D5474949C}"
in
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\J River\Media Center 12\Thumbnails

Then MC will rebuild the thumbnails including the ones that were added on the server side after the last thumbnail build.

If I do a check for updates I get "There are no updates available"
from what I can tell 12.0.198 is the latest version..

Is there a good Beta some place?
