Unable To Get Track Listings in CD Label Wizard
« on: April 13, 2007, 08:05:13 pm »

For some reason when I'm trying to burn a CD, the track listings aren't showing up in the CD Label Wizard.  What's the deal?  I put a blank CD in, move the songs over to the queue, hit the create disc labels button, but the track listings don't show up, and I can't even manually put them in.

Ditto.  I'm having the same problem.  It doesn't only happen after burning a CD. The same problem happens when launching Label Editor from Advanced Tools. I'm running MC12 on Vista. Is there a fix for this?

It works for me on XP.

Please check that you are using the latest MC12 build (12.0.240 at the moment) and provide step-by-step instructions for reproducing the problem (include a list of your selected labeler options).

Updating to 240 was the trick.  It works better now.  I was using build 223.  Using the default layout options work ok.  When I clicked on Go to Label Editor and tried to resize the text box for the track list, it crashed.  This happened twice.  Using the default layout is good enough for now.  I'm happy it's working.  Thanks.

As an FYI, I had the same problem with the latest build, and reverted back to 12.0.240, which fixed the problem.  Any updates on when it will be fixed in 12.0.52?  Looks like a Vista problem.

Thanks,

MJT

I got it to work once with build 240.  Now when trying again, it's not working correctly.  The track list in the CD Info tab of the Label Wizard does not get populated with the tracks that I select.  The track list is stuck with the same track list from the first usage.  Print preview also shows the wrong tracks. I get the same behavior no matter which way I try to invoke the CD Labeler.

Steps:
1. Select some tracks in the library

2. Right click and select CD Labeler
OR
2. Right click and select Send To -> Send To (external) -> CD Labeler
OR
2. Tools -> Advanced Tools -> Disc Labeler

3. In Label Wizard, click on CD Info tab.
4. Look at track list.  After first usage, track list doesn't get updated with selected tracks.  It shows tracks from first usage.

Also, the full Label Editor is very unstable on Vista.  It takes only a few actions like zooming or clicking on menu items to cause it to crash.  It is unusable.

PLEASE FIX!

Any fixes for this yet?  It's still not working as of 12.0.251.

Thanks.

Workaround:
This is a Vista permission problem. I found that if you right click on the Media Center 12 shortcut and Run As Administrator, the track listings will show up in the CD Label Wizard.

Thanks for letting us know.

This should be fixed in build 293 and later. (hopefully available here next week)
