Podcast download problems; Forcing podcast downloads
« on: June 20, 2007, 08:20:38 pm »

My MC podcast subscriptions are not up to date.  I.e. MC is not downloading my subscribed podcasts in a timely manner.  For example, BBC World News posts a new podcast every night between 2400 and 0500 EST, but MC will not download this podcast episode for more than 24 hours after it becomes available.  To expand on this issue: Today is 06/20 and it's 2115, but MC has not downloaded any podcasts from today; the newest ones are from 06/19.  My subscribed podcasts are basically all news feeds and updated before 0600 each morning.

Is there a way to force MC to check for new podcasts?

I have subscribed to the correct URL (or whatever it's called) for my podcasts.  I have enabled MC's podcast auto download.  I also have the MC podcast option set to check for new downloads every 5 minutes.

This was not a problem with MC v. 11.

Thanks.

I think the answer is: Hit the "Refresh" key.

The real problem is that MC no longer recognizes that I have subscribed to any of my feeds.  I haven't changed anything, but MC is no longer downloading podcast episodes.  I've tried resubscribing with no luck.

Anyone else having this problem?

Upgrade to the latest version (12.0.259). If it is still happening, turn on debug logging for podcasts only, and post the log here.
