Netflix video service not working
« on: May 29, 2007, 03:50:36 pm »

Hi,

I have noticed that the Netflix instant play service is not working within Mc!2. Is it expected to be working?

The file opens in media server where it says Acquiring License. I get a window titled "License Acquisition" which tells me to click on the Play button when it is appears. The Play button never appears for me. The same movie can be watched withing IE without any problems.

thanks,
Osho

No, it isn't working right yet.  We're trying to get a little cooperation from Netflix but not getting any so far.

Netflix integration is a really cool feature of MC12 in my opinion. I hope Netflix will co-operate with MC12 so we can enjoy Netflix movies from within MC12 (I hate Netflix's player).

What would be really cool would be a way to have Netflix movies in theater view (like Video). One can browse all the Netflix movies by Genre/Artist - search in it etc. These movies would be represented with cover art in thumbnail grid style and one can navigate through it and play it on demand. One can search for artist/director/name etc. This would be a killer feature of MC12 I think.

thanks,

This would be a great feature.  It is nice to watch movies instantly and using Media Center would definitely rule!
