Can Library Server Stream Video?
« on: June 02, 2007, 05:32:57 pm »

I would love to know if there is a way to get video streaming working. When I go to play a video (DivX) file it says "Opening..." but never plays.

Library Server can stream some video formats. The problem with others is that it needs information from the end of the file, and so must read the whole file across the network to get it. I think mpegs work.

Makes sense, I was using 700 meg avi files. Still, I am streaming across a LAN, the speed should be less than a minute to stream to the end.
