When a song found using a .dat file is in a playlist for transfer to an ipod, MC transfers the entire full media file (i.e., the whole album) but with the file information for just the song.
The correct behavior should be to extract the appropriate portion of the media file and just transfer that.
I mentioned this before and thought for a while it was fixed but I guess I was wrong.
Its really a pain because using .dats and full-album media files is otherwise very convenient, and because it means MC miscalculates the space needed on the ipod.
