I'm having the same issue with Tivo server not starting and nothing showing in the logging window. I'm using WinXP SP2 and I've tried MC 12.240 and 251. Both versions do nothing when the "Start Server" button is hit. When I try to restart the beacon it appears to restart, but then I get a popup box asking to reboot the computer for the Tivo server to work.
Rebooting doesn't improve anything. Adding the DWORD Debug to the Tivo Server Registry didn't help either.
I've been a long time customer (MJ 6,7,8,9, & 10) over the years, but I hate to say MC12 didn't seem like much of a step forward. The Tivo server seems to be a big step backwards.
I never tried MC11, but the TIVO server in 10 worked fine with the minor problem of having to tell my Tivo about the server frequently.
I'm looking forward to this feature working in MC 12 sometime soon - till then, its back to 10 for me.
Cheers,
Derek
