"Recently Ripped" becoming active when rip is complete

Is there a setting so that the Recently Ripped playlist doesn't become active when a CD is finished ripping?  Problems arise when I'm trying to tag in an alternate view but the active pane keeps getting hijacked by the Recently Ripped playlist when a CD is finished ripping.  This behavior usually messes up the last tag/process that I was working on. If there isn't a setting to change this behavior, could there be one?

I've made a similar request a number of times.  So far, no change to MC.

The next beta build will have an option "show recently ripped playlist after ripping" in the rip options dialog.
