Safe To Rip 2 Cd's At Once?
« on: July 29, 2007, 12:07:16 pm »

I am in the process of ripping my collection of 300 cd's.  I Have 2 CD drives. I'm ripping to FLAC using secure mode.  Is it safe to rip 2 cd's simultaneously?

Like KingSparta said in a thread ago. Yes, normally it goes without problems, but it depends on the hardware.

If you use MC you can run concurrent encoding but IIRC when you rip from multiple drives it simply rips from one drive then the other etc.

I use 4 drives; tag the discs, and usually head to bed.

Never tried using MC & say...EAC at the same time.
