I've researched it, signed up, etc. but I don't see the point.
I think there must be a point being as CBS paid so much for it but I just don't see the advantage of having it.

the point is discovering new artists.
You listen for a few weeks and let it submit your stats.
Then go to your profile page and look at "this week's recommendations".
The majority of the bands listed there have the ability to preview thier music.
