I'm looking for a program that can capture TV from a TV Tuner Card and allow me to record to a video file like mpeg or AVI. The problem: is the softwares like: WinDVR, PowerVCR and other programs do not allow PAUSING the recording. If anyone know a program that can allow you to pause the recording please tell me thanks in advanced.

Why do you need to pause a recording? Let recording finish its course, and, when you watch it later, you can pause any time.

There are two way which people want to use the "Pause" during recording:
1) Like TS - I'm recording a show for other to watch latter but need to pause so I can answer the phone, then play when finished, ffd the ads etc....
2) Use Pause to Edit - some want to use pause to stop recording the stream and play to start again (eg to edit out adds like you could do with a VCR).

I'm for #1

Yes, and I've often wished I could do #2... Like the good old VCR

It would be awesome if you can pause the recording in progress so, u can remove unwanted commercials from a Video just a thought.
