New user with a few questions
« on: September 12, 2007, 11:43:12 am »

I am a new MC 12 user.  I think the software works well, however, I have a few questions:

1.  How to get rid of the Calendar, 10 day, 30 day, and most watched folders from the menu when in theater   mode?
2.  How to change the question mark (?) album covers that are assigned to unknown music folders?
3.  Is there a YouTube plugin available -- to watch online videos?
4.  Is there a weather plugin?
5.  Is there a way to change the color on the theater mode screen?

Thanks.

Welcome. I'll do what I can for you.

In the standard view, right click on (for example) the "Calendar" tree node, Select "Edit View Scheme", in the window that pops-up, untick "Show in Theater View"

I'm not sure... I cannot find it anywhere, and thing it may actually be a font-generated tile

It's in standard view under webmedia, but I dont think its made its way into theater view yet.

4.  Is there a weather plugin?
Sure is. Look in Tools -> Options -> Theater View -> Items to Show (Its at the bottom of the list)

Short answer: Yes.
Long answer 1: There are a number of theater view skins available (one in the bottom of my post). You can also do a forum search for the Blue-too skin which is very popular (make sure you get the updated version).
Long answer 2: You can edit the theater view skins yourself. They are located in C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 12\FullSkins. Copy one, and go nuts with it :D
