I am at a loss. I thought I had done my homework and finally would be able to rip CD's in just a few minutes but this has not become true.

My computer: Dell XPX T600 Pent III
OS: Windows 2000 Prof
External Storage: Buslink 60GB
CD-R/RW: Sony CRX195A1 ATAPI/EIDE Internal 40x/12x/48x
File Compression Preferred: 56 MBPS MP3

If anyone can assist me in increasing the speed in rippng a cd from 9-15 minutes and bring it down to what the salesreps at CompUSA and Best Buy claim should only take 2 min to rip a CD I would be very happy.
