capture/encoding PAL/NTSC using girder
« on: October 12, 2007, 08:45:36 am »

i have a audio/video system like this
 vcr/camcorder 1y/c-2rca <->y/C -rca video/Audio converter dv<-> dv  in motherboard .
i can also record audio using another external audio box ( ua 25 )
Can jriver could be use behind girder for launch recording of audio/video ?
i ask myself if jriver could use input dv of motherborad for record ( one driver) or use 2 card for capture   audio ( M audio 24/96)  and video ( pinnacle DV card) so two driver  that support synchronisation ?
It ll be nice if jriver could use after capture an extenal encoder like those use in tmpgenc tool (mpeg2 and stéréo AC3 )  .
perhaps it ll be useful if jriver could by programmation control start and stop recording TV or audio stream come from internet ( radio) or device ( tv camcorder, vcr )   !!
If you have a look to dvd lab tool you ll see this tool use the AC3 codec  install by tmpgnec tool !!
thank's

I am not sure I understood you, but MC's video capture capability is under "TV Tuner".

re post this thread to know if jriver support
1- external multimedia box  that support encode audio/video that come from TV FM connector/Cable  (rca S video )
( so without encoder pci card)
2-  record data that come from this  box  define in schedule
3-  support control IR device like tv/radio device during schedule ?

my aim is to know if we coulf define in jriver to record audio using Soundblaster card after IR open FM device and select channel and same for video using a external capture box ( http://www.usbgear.com/USB-2-video-capture-device/usb-video-card.html)
