I just found a problem with File->Library->Export to XML:
With my standard-library (>46000 files) the export doesn't end (waited for more than 15 minutes).
I have to kill the Media Center 12-process (CPU-Usage 100%).

Version is 12.0.363

It works with a small test-library!

Does anyone else see this problem?

just thought i'd mention this is still hanging up on my library (now 66,000 files). have to kill mc12 (using 428 havent grabbed 432 yet but i imagine it's there too)

This was partially fixed in 432. It now completes creating the XML, however the XML format is corrupt. I think (hope) the JRiver team is working on this.

Actually, the export problem was fixed already in MC 12.0.419. Though, I didn't try it with 428. It seems to be working fine with the latest build.

The export format is identical with the MPL playlist export format. Only the filename extension is different.

Possibly the file you tried is just too big. When I tried to open a library XML file of 60000 library files (70 MB) with MS Word it crashed after counting about 32000 pages.

In addition, field values that contain enter characters may be problematic for programs that try to interpret the XML content. (I.e. when Edit Type is "Large", like in the Lyrics field.)

You could create a new library with a subset of your files and try again.

I confirmed MPL export is ok. If large XML files are not supported by most apps then I guess I can use MPL as work around for subsets of my library. I intend to use this as a transport mechanism for meta-data from my photo organizing app.
