Your Album of the Moment?
« on: July 14, 2007, 01:35:52 pm »

What's everyone else listening to at the moment?
Any killer albums you've bought recently?

I recently bought Ghost's album which I really like - 'The World is Out There'
Especially the last track Temporary.

Dolores O Riordans album - 'Are you Listening' is also getting played alot.

Anyone else still listen to Albums or do you all pick and choose your tracks now a days?    8)

The album format lives on... Cherry Ghost's Thirst For Romance is pretty decent indie fodder, but been reaching for my recently acquired Buena Vista Social Club for those easier moments.

I heard a cool track by "The Early Years", I'd like to listen to more.

Strangely - I haven't listened to an entire album in a LONG time, probably about the last time I used one of those funny "floppy discs" in my computer.

My player is loaded with albums exclusively - set for continuous play and repeat. I plough through albums good bad and mediocre on my daily commute until I get fed up with them. Home listening is more mixed playlists.

I listened a lot to Apples in Stereo - New Magnetic Wonder during a week in Italy recently, and Id recommend it FWIW. Just good old pop music IMO. Its going to be the soundtrack to my summer I think.

There are some albums that are classics (AC\DC - Back In Black, Black Sabbath - Paranoid, Almost Anything From BTO, Joplin (My Dad Loves Her) etc...) Where most of the songs on the albums are great, but for the most part now days there is only one good song on a album if that.

Some albums should have never been pressed, a waste of good plastic.

Today I Bought

Bye Bye - Jo Dee Messina From yahoo Music

Very nice
