Feature request: wind chill in weather
« on: December 04, 2007, 08:08:03 pm »

I live in Canada, and in the winter, we use a weather measurment called "wind chill". As a Canadian, wind chill is just as important, or more so than the temperature. Example: yesterday it was -24C and -30C with the wind chill. Temp + Wind = Wind Chill.

Is there any way we can add this variable into the theatre view weather?

Please...please...

(notice the "re" in theatre? Us quircky Canucks, eh!)

Oh... The JRiver staff are from Minnesota and I imagine that they understand well the impact of wind chill factor (much like I do up here in Maine).   ;)

I suspect what they expose has a lot to do with what Weather.com offers in an easily "parsable" manner.

I went to weather.com and they show the windchill on thier website under "feels like". So, if it's as easy as just grabbing another field from weather.com, then please consider adding.

Thanx

I'm in Iowa and it's not even that cold but I'm freezing.

We just got a ton of ice.  I kept hoping the power would go out...just for a few minutes...so I could see my UPS's in action.  I then realized that the power would likely be out for several hours so I stopped hoping.
