well it actually came from FMC a large chemical company, there was a set of 4 filters, that will take pesticides out of drinking water. I had A tech a few years ago almost contaminated a customers drinking water (but all tests came out clean). The setup was about $1,000 including many filters I had it laying around for the past 8 or so years in a large box.
I bought the PVC pipe today at Lowe's (about $20.00) to play around with it. I do have a Small 115 volt pump (about $150) that is used to spray pesticides that I may hook up to it some how to force it thru the filter. The pump will work with oils so I should not have a bloated O-Ring problem. I Also Have A 1 Horse Power Pump 10 Gallons Per Min, but I Think That Is A Bit Overkill.
The oil looks clean so I fried "Pilgrim's Pride" Buffalo wings for dinner, they are already breaded and they taste good, just the right amount of breading on them. I found the Buffalo wings at our newest Wal-Mart super centers.
Not sure if this is cost effective however.
