Complicated Find and Replace expression
« on: December 08, 2007, 11:12:01 am »

Just say you have a song name "Eye for an Eye Feat Nas & Raekwon" and you want to change it to "Eye for an Eye (feat. Nas & Raekwon)". What I do is Find and Replace and I put "Feat" in to the Find box and "(feat." in to the replace box. But I'd like to know is there a way of closing the bracket at the end? For now I have to scroll down through all the songs and add in the final bracket for each one.

I don't know about an easy 1-step solution, but is there some reason after doing your find/replace
you can't filter everything into a single list and then replace the [Name] field (assuming that's
the field) with

=[Name])

Or if you can't easily filter afterwards, then first filter based on your find/replace expression, do this step,
and then do your actual find/replace command 2nd?
