Equalizer settings per track
« on: August 10, 2002, 08:03:59 am »

I'm trying out MJ 8 and I read that there is a 'save to track' feature so that I can pre set the EQ for each track individually.

But I can't seem to find it.

Can anybody tell me where it is?

That may have been for version 7.2. I don't think MJ 8 has this function anymore.

Housekeeping....

Why do they strip down such nice options? I would like to see a track or playlist EQ-setting box. To complete it, a "non transition"-option would be nice :-)

I would be interested in this, as well as per-album crossfade options. With regard to per-track settings, this could probably be stored as binary data in custom ID3v2 tags. However this might cause speed-related problems (at program loadtime, writing the data to the tags if there's not enough padding in the file, etc) and compatibility issues, though other progs _should_ be flexible enough to deal with it.
