Is there any way to turn off the pop-up image that appears when you hover your mouse over an image file within MC?  It's fine and dandy for jpegs, but NEFs (Nikon RAW) take WAY TOO LONG to process to have MC constantly trying to build preview images every time my mouse stops for a few seconds.

Alternately, is there a way to force MC to build the RAW cache for all files?

you could switch 'show trackinfo tooltip' off under options>tree&view>List.

I agree that we need a better system for RAW images.

Stacks, the cache, using the thumbnail, or threading could all be solutions.  Even with threading it would keep the program responsive, but it sort of ruins the point of the tooltip if it takes 10 seconds to pop.

Thanks!  Any chance we can get another option for just the image tooltips?  I'd still like the ones for music, but MC is unusable with them enabled for RAW images.

I don't use RAW images but even when I was trying to work with some images the other day, the tooltips kept getting in the way and I would have to move my mouse to get rid of them so I could view the thumbnails. I love the image tooltips most of the time, but sometimes they can get in the way.
