Is there anyway to customize the content of the main browsing tree?  I looked in options under "Tree and View Settings" but was only able to customize the toolbar.

Specifically, I want to remove TV Tuner and Web Media from the display, 'cause I'm never going to use them

You and about a million others. In this latest version of MJ it isn't gonna happen. Maybe MJ 9 ?? (hint hint)

Hrm. I sympathize. I don't use anything but the Media Library. It would be nice to get rid of the rest, as long as they could be restored.

Media Jukebox 7 had lots of tree items that were non-essential, so we had settings to turn them off.

Media Jukebox 8 only has two tree items that aren't "essential", so we removed the option.

It's too early to say about Media Jukebox 9.

And are those two items really that annoying?

In my case, it's a visual clutter issue. Clearly not a functional problem, and certainly not enough to stop using MJ. The other apps that I use allow me to define nearly every button or menu's visibility (as is the case with MJ's graphical button bar) so it's mildly annoying when I can't 'disappear' things that don't provide utility to me.

Yess Matt, honestly, for those of us who use only the Media Library and the CD, DVD, and Handhelds part of the tree, everything else is just clutter. Im not just referring to TV Tuner and Web Media. Im referring to everything on the Tree. There may even be some people out there who only use the TV TUner and Web Media options. To each his own. But you guys should really consider adding an option in MJ9 to rid the Tree of whatever isnt used. In other words, make it possible for someone to remove everything from the Tree if they so desire.

Have to agree Matt. Don't use it, lose it. With a check box of of course.

Yep. I agree as well... perhaps a sub menu in the View menu? It works for turning on and off things in Office

well i had to buy a TV, since the Older Computer Has The ATI All Inwonder radeon that sue has.

Since I Bought This TV (next to the monitor) I Think I will Leave It This Way For A Spell.

The New Computer Has The Intel Video Built On The Motherboard, Kind of Sucks.
