Default Image View Scheme
« on: January 22, 2008, 11:30:08 pm »

A while ago we switched the default view scheme for images to have a "Quickies" column with the choices:
Last 10 Days
Last 30 Days
Last Year
Highly Rated
Most Viewed
No Keywords
Small Images

This is also the way images are viewed in Theater View by default.

Are there any other sets of pictures you often view that should be in this list?

Thanks for any tips.

Matt, this came up before when Quickies were first introduced. I changed my Images default so I don't have Quickies in there anymore. Unfortunately the option "Reset all view schemes to default" wipes out any new view schemes I created too so that can't be used to get the Images default back to Quickies. Can a preset or something be added so that a person can turn their Images default back to the original with Quickies?

It seems I've done the same. Is there a way to restore Quickies without resetting all view schemes? What I'm actually interested in is the ability to modify Quickies as it appears in theatre view. The fact I still see Quickies in theatre view suggests it is independent and cannot be modified. Is this true?

And a (sort of) related question... I was trying to find a way to swap a top level scheme with branch scheme (e.g., by saving and restoring schemes), but there doesn't seem to be a way. Am I missing something? I do understand I can edit a top level/default scheme like any other.

Serves me right for reviving an old topic... I'm sure Matt appreciates input on a question he asked 5 months ago, but can anyone answer my questions?  ::)
