iPhone SDK gonna help (predictions?)
« on: January 24, 2008, 08:03:13 pm »

I'm an iphone user and obviously am very anxious to see MC support it for syncing.

1. What information is known as far as the SDK goes?  I recall hearing late February.
2. For Media Center: if the SDK is released how likely is it that iPhone support can be added?  Would it mean a native app that would allow MC access through a tunnel or do you think they will just open the iPod stuff up more?
3. With native apps I wonder if there will be limits on app data usage.  What if someone releases an app that in the background downloads tens of podcasts continuously all the time?  I bet AT&T would get mad.  Oh and MC could sync your iPhone over the cell network!  Who cares if it takes 3 hours to sync that episode of family guy you have set to sync (from MC--and you could ask MC for the file from iPhone!) ... but who cares if it takes so long because it can be slowly background downloading all day while you go about your daily tasks.  Utilize the connection!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!

I love my iPhone but HATE being tethered to iTunes.

I long for a triumphant return to MC!  ;D
