I have some playback questions
« on: January 24, 2008, 06:26:49 pm »

When I watch a video and it's done, it automatically starts playing it again. I want it to just stop. How do I change that? I looked everywhere.

Another thing is sometimes I'm watching somthing and I don't want to watch it anymore so I stop it, then when I play it the next time it starts where I left off, which I'm sure some people like but I would like it to start from the beginning again. Any way to do that?

Thanks.

One of the buttons is "continuous".  Try clicking it to get single playback.

Hold the ctrl key down and press play to start at the beginning.  Bookmarks can be turned off in the options.

Warning.  Above is from memory and may be incorrect.

The buttons Jim is referring to is one of the 3 buttons (the other two are Shuffle and DSP studio), just to the right of the progress bar.

It has 3 option: Repeat off, Repeat Current Item, Repeat "Playing Now" list

It isn't really an "option".  Not a "global option" anyhow... You can turn Bookmarking on or off on a per-file basis, using the [Use Bookmarking] field.  Read here: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=42615.0

Hi there

Would it be nice to actually have a bookmarking-type feature ( it doesn't actually have to be part of present bookmarking function, it could even be a separate feature on it's own), which can be used to set "permanent" bookmarks like  "chapter" or "cue" points? One could even add a note or comment to the bookmark-type.
Like mentioned in the quote below, taken from the thread Glynor mentioned ablove.

...The "Use Bookmarking" in MC can't be used to set "permanent" bookmarks like you're describing here -- what you're describing is more like "chapter" or "cue" points.  The MC bookmarking feature is essentially a "resume playback" feature -- i.e. it simply remembers the last played position in a track so that you can resume playback at the position you left off at. ...
