In Queue and Delete on Sync
« on: March 02, 2008, 03:32:00 pm »

I used iTunes to do a restore and a complete resync.  After that, I fired up MC 12.0.450 and then clicked on my Apple iPod in the MC menu. The status on each of the songs displayed either "In Queue" or "Delete on Sync".  Can anyone explain why MC is indicating the differences in status?  Why wouldn't MC show all "In Queue" or all "Delete on Sync"?

MC has an option to "Delete on Sync".  You must have it checked.  It removes any files from the iPod that are not in your list of files to sync.

Be careful.  Files will be deleted on the iPod if you proceed.

Yes, the delete on sync box is checked but that doesn't explain why "all of the songs" are not marked delete on sync. And, what does "In queue" mean?
Any suggestions on how to make the iPod song status consistent?  I don't even have a defined sync list unless that means AUDIO under MEDIA TYPES.

Turning off "Delete on Sync" made no difference even after a restart of MC.  I see status indicating only 1 album "On Device".  Obviously that is a bug because I have over 416 albums on my iPOD.

In Queue means that the file will be transferred to the iPod when you click Transfer.

I cleared the MC 12 library and did an import folder of my entire music library.  The results are the same as reported above.  MC 12 can't accurately read the information from my iPOD.  My iPOD is firmware 1.2.3.  Idenfiying only 1 album existing on the iPod is a bug as is not being able to determine if the song should be deleted or transfered.  I am certainly not going to do another iTunes restore and reload as I have "been there and done that".  I have 417 albums and 6385 songs on the iPOD.
