I know I haven't been around much lately, but I just wanted to say "Thanks!" for the QT support. :)

During installation, I choose Custom, and MJ still checks the box for File Association of .avi, even though I always uncheck that one.  Either it's not reading my prior settings, or it's not doing it correctly.  Not a big deal, just thought you should know.

Skinning broke?

All the skins I have tried the treeview's background always remains white ... but in AV when I request m_pMJ->GetSkinInfo("Tree", "BackColor") I get the right colour.

Can anyone else see this?

Bug?: Security and MJNews plugins no longer install.

I already have set up a new installation. Without clearing the registry settings of course.

Is it possible to include "amazon.de" in "find cd"?

Thanks a lot; the new version seems very stable (besides the "bug" above).

JohnT,

Is there a file called wnaspi32.dll in your Media Jukebox directory? If so, rename or delete it and then try re-running MJ.
Please let us know the results.
- John T.

That did the trick. Thank You. It also let's me now play a CD.
Before, I was stuck on MJ wanting to install ASPI. I did not know this last night.

Again, thanks.

Focus loss bug:

Clear Playing Now.
Turn off "Jump to Playing Now on playback".
Select an album or artist on the tree, not an individual track.
Press Return.
And like that, it's gone.

Also, now that you have QT6 support, you should add .mp4 as a supported file extension.

I have just uninstalled V 346 and reinstalled V 343 since I was unable to rip any CD's.
The error was something like "Data is out of range"...

Bug(s) I think in removable media processing in 8.0.346...

I have 2 removable media devices connected:
F:  8mb SmartMedia
G:  100mb Zip

I sent one 6mb track to F: and a set of 10 tracks totalling 75mb to G:

If I select F: in the tree I see only the the single 6mb file, but if I press upload, MJ attempts to upload the files queued for both F: and G: to F:.  Given it's only a 8mb SmartMedia card, it fails after the first file.  Now I select G: in the tree and press upload, MJ writes the first file to G:, then the rest of the queued files disappear from the window.  If the "Show only queued files" option is checked, the queued files disappear from G: as soon as the upload to F: fails.  If I then uncheck "Show only queued files" the file show up again in G:'s queue but any attempt to upload them results in them disappearing.

If I sent to F: then upload it, then send to G: and upload it, everything works.  It's onlt a problem when files are queued to both devices at the same time.

Just noticed that the internal ASPI layer won't allow me to uncheck the generic and 2 second boxes for my "TDK CDRW241040B" burner.  Has been working fine up to now and continues to work OK with external ASPI.

Henrik,

You can use any ASPI layer (Adaptec's ASPI is recommended).  Just uncheck "Use internal ASPI layer" in Settings -> Options -> CD Writer.

Still get this one if MJ is running full screen visualizations for a while, then back to internal.

RemyJ,

MJ is not currently designed to handle simultaneous connections to multiple devices. I will see if there is anything we can do for v 8, if not we may have to wait until version 9.

Not critical for V8 at all.  I discovered this only by accident and don't have a practical reason to need it right now.

Hi .  I am having real issues ripping CD's now with this new version.  Using the default new settings regarding the ASPI layer all i get is the same errors that Henrik was getting.  Changing the setting to not use the internal ASPI layer I try again.  Then it rips 1 song or 1/2 a song and then does nothing.  The CD stops spinning and the light goes out.  MJ will then just sit for hours until you press cancel.  Pressing cancel does nothing causing the program to have to be closed (MJ that is) and restarted.

Very frustrating especially as it all worked ok before.

I have included my help / system props below for you.

Media Jukebox PLUS 8.0.346
Install Path: C:\Program Files\J River\Media Jukebox\

CPU: Intel Pentium III 1003 MHz MMX (x2)
Memory: Total - 1572 MB, Free - 1242 MB
OS: Microsoft Windows 2000  Workstation 5.0 Service Pack 2 (Build 2195)

Internet Explorer: 6.0.2600.0000
ComCtl32.dll: 5.50.4704.1100
Shlwapi.dll: 6.00.2600.0000
Shell32.dll: 5.00.3502.4718
wnaspi32.dll: 4.71 (0001) , ASPI for Win32 (95/NT) DLL, Copyright © 1989-2002 Adaptec, Inc.
Aspi32.sys: 4.71 (0001)

Hope this helps

Many thanks
