managing libraries

File name on storage device contains Genre-Year-Track Number-Artist-Track Name.  Doesn't assign these tags to the appropriate columns in Windows.  Is there a command within MC which would re-create the files on the storage device so that Slimserver would recognise them properly?  Or do I have to manually rename the files via Windows Explorer?

MC can rename files from tag information.  See Library Tools/Rename Files from Properties.

Try a few before you do very many.
