Change Startup and remove Items from Left Pane.
« on: June 24, 2008, 07:45:57 pm »

Hey, All!!

First off....I need to let everyone know that I love the Media Jukebox. Great work, JRiver....you guys rock!!

So...here's my questions:

How do I remove items from the listing in the left Pane?   Right now the pane shows the following:
Start
Audio
Playing Now
Podcasts
Playlists
Drives and Devices
Services and Plugins
Downloads

I'd like to remove some of those from the pane (window or pane...whatever it's called.) I dont want to see Downloads, Services and Plugins or Podcasts. Is it possible to remove stuff from the list and how do I go about it?

Also, I have a pretty cool View setup. How do I make it the default view that shows up when I start the Jukebox? It basically shows thumbnails for all my albums in the right pane with selected album information showing up in another pane (window) along the bottem when I click on a thumbnail.  How do I get this to be the default when I start up the jukebox? I'm not intersted in the regular screen which shows up during startup.

Thanks for the help!! Great product!!

Later,

Steve ?

Welcome to Interact.  Thanks for the kind words.

The "left pane" is the "tree".

I don't think the options you need are in MJ.  Some of them are in MC.

> Start
In MC, you can start up in Last Location, meaning where you were when you quit.
> Audio
Can't be removed.
> Playing Now
Can't be removed.
> Podcasts
Can be removed under MC Options/General/Advanced/Features.
> Playlists
> Drives and Devices
> Services and Plugins
> Downloads
None of these can be removed.

You can close the tree by double clicking on the divider to its right.
