Converting to Apple Lossless on the Fly
« on: March 01, 2008, 11:56:43 am »

I would like to use MC12 to send certain songs from my computer hard drive to my iPod Classic with on-the-fly conversion to Apple Lossless, which is the format that my Ipod uses.  I didn't see Apple Lossless as a an option under Encoder.  Is it possible to export in Apple Lossless?

Of course, I would not mind using with my iPod FLAC or one of the other lossless formats that MC12 natively supports, but I don't think that I can get my iPod to use any of them.  Any solutions?

Thanks for your help.

If you can find an external encoder for Apple Lossless, then you can use it in MC, but MC doesn't natively support it....

If you search the 'Portable Players' part of Interact, you will find some folks who have had varying degrees of success... I'm not one of them :)
