possible daylight savings time sync problem
« on: March 09, 2008, 08:32:03 pm »

12.0.447 and XP

My 2G nano has been working perfectly until today.

Yesterday I synced a few files and it worked as expected. Today I tried to sync a few files and it told me every file on my iPod needed to be replaced. I changed nothing on my system and the only explanation I can think of is that the daylight savings time on my system changed last night.

[edit] changed 3G to 2G

I just had the same with my iPod Classic 80GB. But, instead of replacing all the files, it wanted to add them and warned me that it would put me 17GB over. I had to erase all the music and resynch.

Full re-sync happening here too.  Using it as an opportunity to refresh the device from scratch.  Will be extremely annoyed if the fix (assuming it will be) causes yet another full re-sync.  For those of us with high capacity portables forced full re-syncs are a pain when you are just trying to get a few new podcasts on the device.

Full (almost) re-synch here as well (80Gig Classic)
