Anyone looking at the Wish List?
« on: August 04, 2002, 09:44:01 pm »

Does anyone look at the wish list?  Seems pretty quiet over there even from a user perspective.  Some recent adds but not much voting going on.  Everything's still "In Discussion".

I just posted a few if anyone's interested.

I rarely visit the Wish List area because:

1. There seems to be much more action and reaction over here in the Forum.

2. The responses in the Wish List area are undated and annonymous; you can't tell who posted the comments or when.

3. I don't remember ever seeing any feedback from J River people there.

4. Although we are assured it is not, it appears to be a black hole for suggestions.

5. Discussion in the Forum is much more rewarding.

I remember a discussion about adding a third pane to make playlist creation easier but I can't remember what the wishlist name was so I can't find it now.

And anyway I'm sure everyone would rather look at a goofy 'visualation' in the third pane rather than have a functional drag and drop interface. (he said with his tongue firmly in his cheek)

Anyway the point is I have to agree: wish list = black hole.

>>> Everything's still "In Discussion".  <<<

Some from v7.2. Hows about v9???

Did I mention? ? ? ? ?

You know MJ is like an addiction for some here. A little current updating of the 'Discussions' would make the cold turkey thing easier.

Would you rather have features (beer) or good house-keeping (chores)?

datatrader, the Wish List entry for multiple panes is "Pane Relievers".

JimH, I didn't mean to imply that you don't read the Wish List. I even stated that we are assured otherwise.  It only APPEARS to be a black hole because there seems to be no feedback on the Wish List pages.

LCtheDJ... thanks but a search for Pane Relievers brings up a huge list of unrelated wishlists....
