Re: MC 12.0.451 - Cover Art bug?
« on: March 06, 2008, 12:59:37 am »

Hi !

I found  little bug :

My images (cover art) are "inside file" but these images aren't visible when MC plays theirs tracks.

These images are visible when theirs tracks are played by another player (iPod, Winamp, Microsoft Media Player ...)

Please fix this ... Thanks !

Jean-Marc

Welcome to my world.  :)  I reported this months ago, and then my thread was hijacked, the thread was split (by Matt), and then it died as all support went to the new, split off thread.  Expect your report to be split off and then ignored, too. :P

Unfortunately, the only solution I found was just to manually reapply all the cover art. :(

It works for me.

What is the file format? What program was used for adding the images in the file tags? Does the Image File field show the value "Inside File"? Does it work if you create a copy of a file outside MC and import it as a new file? Can you provide a sample file?

iPod does not read any file tags. The cover art images are stored separately.

I can third the missing cover art, both from folder.jpg and inside file. Affected maybe 20 albums in all; fixed with update library from tags.

Do you have the setting for "Always store cover art inside file" checked?  Has it always been set the same way?

Do you have any idea what the dimensions of the coverart are?

if the dimensions are greater than 999 pixels, does reducing the size make any difference?
