When I tried to view a DVD on MC12, I kept getting the CinePlayer DVD Decoder Options window opening - if I clear it, it comes back again and again and again.

I uninstalled CinePlayer, at which point with no DVD decoder, I could not play back any DVDs.  Installed the newest version of the DVD Decoder.  Installed the newest version of MC12, and this is still happening.  Its really annoying because I cannot watch a movie at all on my computer.

Here is my system info

You can install CCCP and use DVD decoder from that package. See this wiki article for details.

If I install CCCP, do I need to deinstall the CinePlayer decoder first?

Is this a common problem? or something from the Weird file? ?

Yes and no.

If you know you do not need CinePlayer, uninstalled by all means.

If you still need it, you can leave it installed. I would guess there is a chance it may still interfere with MC's DVD playback, but this usually can be fixed by going to "DVD Playback Settings" and select a set of specific filters. For example:

Video Decoder: MPV decoder (or FFDShow video decoder - but make sure you enable its DVD decoding capability)
Audio Decoder: FFDShow Audio decoder
Video Renderer: Video Mixing Renderer 9
Audio Renderer: Your choice appropriate to your audio set up, but "Default DirectSound Device" should work.

It seems CinePlayer decoder has some weirdness in it.
