I am a very happy user, love the product - but have a serious issue - once I went over 60,000+ songs MC started corrupting the tags in my files.

To fix the issue I have seperated my Physical library into smaller Folders and only bring in a MX of 40k songs, I not happy with this method for several reasons (like I would like to be able to search my entire library at once instead of going through several layers and steps.

Any one else having this issue?

If so how did you address it?

Many of us have very large libraries with no corruption issues.

Can you please provide some more information.

When did the problem start? Do you recall the MC version? Was it repeatable? What file types were affected?  What tags were corrupted? How were the tags corrupted? Did you have any other problems with your computer at the time?

What Does That Mean?

I have Over 500,000 MP3's Right Now And Normally Have More Than 80,000 In MC At Any One Time And Have Not Seen A Tagging Issue.

  • nothing more to say...

Is it possible that MC might have crashed during a tag update ?

If so the tags being written at the time might have gotten corrupted in the library.

You would usually get a message saying that a library restore is advised.
