ipod sort interface issue

I've seen some mentions of this problem, but haven't found a solution: How do you ignore articles (a, an, the) when syncing an ipod using media jukebox? On my computer, the articles are ignored (I have checked the box that allows this), but on my ipod, they are not. Is there any way to get around this, or do I have to sync with iTunes if I want to the information sorted properly?

Is there a fix for this problem? I am back to ripping with MJ 12 and syncing with iTunes, which is somewhat tedious. It would be nice if I didn't have to use iTunes at all, but maybe there is just no way.
